Interview

I have a friend in 3 SHS. Her full name is Maulida Isfahani Nurillah. She is my classmate in 3 Senior High School. I’ve choosen her to be my informant in my task. I really interested with her life when she was in Junior High school because of she is not like me who came from Junior High School, she came from Islamic Boarding school in Subang. I can’t imagine how is she can survive without parents during 3 years? Because of that, I interviewed her.

Me : “ Assalamualaikum Maulida. I have many questions for you. I really interested with your life when you were in Boarding school. Can I interviewed you?”

Maulida : “Waalaikumsalam. Sure”

Me : “Why are you choose Islamic Boarding School in Subang to continue your school when you have done your National examination and you got the result?  Whereas many of students want to go to 5 Junior High School, 2 Junior High School, or the others favorite school in Bandung.”

Maulida : “My parents make study in an Islamic school is a must. I am second daughter and I have one brother and one little sister.  My brother and little sister were entered Islamic school when they were in Grade School, and I’m not. I entered Margahayu grade school and that is not Islamic school. So,  I entered Islamic Boarding School for “compensation” because of I wasn’t enter Islamic school when I was in grade school.”

Me : “Ohhh.. Hmmmm. Interesting . Actually, when you are enroll yourself to Islamic Boarding School, is it your eagerness or your parents did?”

Maulida : “It can be both of us. Because of, I want entered Islamic Boarding School and my parents support me.”

Me : “Why are you choose Assyifa Islamic Boarding School?”

Maulida : “At that time, I have visited several Islamic school, but I was not find compatible school as I want. And finally I visited Assyifa Islamic Boarding School, I think Assyifa is the best school, and the distance between Subang and Bandung is not far enough, the location is surrounded by hills and the weather is good, the facility is good (minimarket, mosque, laboratory, etc.), religion is good, and the most important is overthere have tahfidz. When I saw that, I said to myself ‘I must entered Assyifa Boarding School, and I should be the student of Assyifa Boarding School”

Me : “Whoaaa you are high achiever! :)). What is the most unforgettable moment when you are in Assyifa Islamic Boarding School?”

Maulida : “All moments in there, I can’t forget. Started from I opened my eyes until I slept, when my fist time in Assyifa boarding school until I graduated from there. I surrounded by many people who have differents character and far from parents is a difficult thing, and I can be acquainted with many students in there, we played, cried, laughed, slept, or many things we do together. Kind of activities like that I can’t forget. ‘Every moment with you, is the sweetest one’. “

Me : “ Ouhhh so sweet. Your words touch my heart :’). Last but not least.. What is the difference between Junior high school and Islamic Boarding School?”

Maulida : “When the students of Junior high school finished their school and then go home for rested, but not for me. I should remembered are there still the dirty clothes or not?. When the students of JHS finished their school can do their homework or study for tomorrow, I should commit to memory the verse of Alquran. When the students of JHS after Isya prayer can join dinner with their family, I should stay in mosque or commit to memory the verse of Alquran. And many more, too many to mention. Many differencens between JHS and Islamic Boarding School. You can imagine isn’t it? Hahaha...”

Avira : “Yayaya.... I see J Okay thank you so much Maulida! Assalamualaikum”

Maulida : “Your welcome.. Waalaikumsalam”

I learned many things from her. She is a good person isn’t it?

ANIMAL KINGDOM : CHEETAH

The cheetah is the world's fastest land mammal. With acceleration that would leave most automobiles in the dust, a cheetah can go from 0 to 60 miles (96 kilometers) an hour in only three seconds. The cheetah's chest is deep and its waist is narrow. The coarse, short fur of the cheetah is tan with round black spots measuring from 2 to 3 cm (0.79 to 1.18 in) across, affording it some camouflage while hunting. There are no spots on its white underside, but the tail has spots, which merge to form four to six dark rings at the end. The tail usually ends in a bushy white tuft.
The cheetah has a small head with high-set eyes. Black "tear marks" running from the corner of its eyes down the sides of the nose to its mouth keep sunlight out of its eyes and aid in hunting and seeing long distances. Its thin and fragile body make it well-suited to short bursts of high speed, but not to long-distance running. These big cats are quite nimble at high speed and can make quick and sudden turns in pursuit of prey.

Before unleashing their speed, cheetahs use exceptionally keen eyesight to scan their grassland environment for signs of prey—especially antelope and hares. This big cat is a daylight hunter that benefits from stealthy movement and a distinctive spotted coat that allows it to blend easily into high, dry grasses.

When the moment is right a cheetah will sprint after its quarry and attempt to knock it down. Such chases cost the hunter a tremendous amount of energy and are usually over in less than a minute. If successful, the cheetah will often drag its kill to a shady hiding place to protect it from opportunistic animals that sometimes steal a kill before the cheetah can eat. Cheetahs need only drink once every three to four days.

Females give birth to up to nine cubs after a gestation period of ninety to ninety-eight days, although the average litter size is four. Cubs weigh from 150 to 300 g (5.3 to 10.6 oz) at birth. Unlike some other cats, the cheetah is born with its characteristic spots. Cubs are also born with a downy underlying fur on their necks, called a mantle, extending to mid-back. This gives them a mane or Mohawk-type appearance; this fur is shed as the cheetah grows older. It has been speculated this mane gives a cheetah cub the appearance of the honey badger (ratel), to scare away potential aggressors. Cubs leave their mother between thirteen and twenty months after birth. Life span is up to twelve years in the wild, but up to twenty years in captivity. The rate of cub mortality varies from area to area, from 50% to 75%, and in extreme cases such as the Serengeti ecosystem, up to 90%. In comparison to the Serengeti, the survival rate of cheetah cubs in the Kgalagadi area was seven times higher.

Unlike males, females are solitary and tend to avoid each other, though some mother/daughter pairs have been known to be formed for small periods of time. The cheetah has a unique, well-structured social order. Females live alone, except when they are raising cubs and they raise their cubs on their own. The first eighteen months of a cub's life are important; cubs must learn many lessons, because survival depends on knowing how to hunt wild prey species and avoid other predators. At eighteen months, the mother leaves the cubs, who then form a sibling ("sib") group that will stay together for another six months. At about two years, the female siblings leave the group, and the young males remain together for life.

SONG. EARTH SONG- MICHAEL JACKSON

"Earth Song" is the third single from Michael Jackson's album HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I. It is the fifth song on the second disc of the album. It is a ballad that incorporates elements of blues, gospel and opera. Jackson had a long-standing history of releasing socially conscious material such as "We Are the World", "Man in the Mirror" and "Heal the World". However, "Earth Song" was the first that overtly dealt with the environment and animal welfare. "Earth Song" was made for the "Dangerous" album but it failed to make the album. The song was written and composed by Jackson; the task of production was split between Jackson, David Foster and Bill Bottrell.

"Earth Song" was accompanied by a lavish music video shot in four geographical regions. It centered on the destruction and rebirth of Earth and went on to receive a Grammy nomination in 1997. The song was a top five hit in most European countries. In the United Kingdom, it remains Jackson's best-selling single, and was the country's number-one Christmas single in 1995. "Earth Song" was not released as a single in the United States. Jackson went on to receive recognition from various animal and environmental organizations.
In 2011 the song was paired-up with the poem "Planet Earth" (previously released on Michael Jackson's This Is It, in 2009) and released as a song in the remix album Immortal. The song was the last song to be rehearsed by Jackson, shortly after midnight on June 25, 2009, making it the final song ever performed by Michael Jackson.

EARTH SONG is a  song of Michael Jackson that touched and reminded everyone to care about the earth and its content. This song is always bring us to nature’s pain atmosphere. In this song, MJ said that he wanted to demonstrate to the world that the earth is sick.
“Why do I make this song? Because I care about life and I want you also care about the life”
It shows in his Video Clip that also illustrates that nature was like a hell. This song is tell us the story about peace too, “What about all the peace that you pledge your only son”

So now, love our earth and take care about it.

EARTH SONG
What about sunrise
What about rain
What about all the things
That you said we were to gain...
What about killing fields
Is there a time
What about all the things
That you said was yours and mine...
Did you ever stop to notice
All the blood we've shed before
Did you ever stop to notice
This crying Earth, this weeping shore?

Aaaaaaaaah Oooooooooh
Aaaaaaaaah Oooooooooh

What have we’ve done to the world
Look what we've done
What about all the peace
That you pledge your only son...
What about flowering fields
Is there a time
What about all the dreams
That you said was yours and mine...
Did you ever stop to notice
All the children dead from war
Did you ever stop to notice
This crying Earth, this weeping shore?

Aaaaaaaaah Oooooooooh
Aaaaaaaaah Oooooooooh
Aaaaaaaaah Oooooooooh

I used to dream
I used to glance beyond the stars
Now I don't know where we are
Although I know we've drifted far

Aaaaaaaaah Oooooooooh
Aaaaaaaaah Oooooooooh
Aaaaaaaaah Oooooooooh
Aaaaaaaaah Oooooooooh

Hey, what about yesterday
(What about us)
What about the seas
(What about us)
The heavens are falling down
(What about us)
I can't even breathe
(What about us)
What about apathy
(What about us)
I need you
(What about us)
What about nature's worth
(ooo, ooo)
It's our planet's womb
(What about us)
What about animals
(What about it)
Turned kingdoms to dust
(What about us)
What about elephants
(What about us)
Have we lost their trust
(What about us)
What about crying whales
(What about us)
Ravaging the seas
(What about us)
What about forest trails
(ooo, ooo)
Burnt despite our pleas
(What about us)
What about the holy land
(What about it)
Torn apart by creed
(What about us)
What about the common man
(What about us)
Can't we set him free
(What about us)
What about children dying
(What about us)
Can't you hear them cry
(What about us)
Where did we go wrong
(ooo, ooo)
Someone tell me why
(What about us)
What about baby boy
(What about it)
What about the days
(What about us)
What about all their joy
(What about us)
What about the man
(What about us)
What about the crying man
(What about us)
What about Abraham
(What about us)
What about death again
(ooo, ooo)
Do we give a damn

Aaaaaaaaah Oooooooooh
